The Ara Initiative's solution-oriented efforts are focused on finding, developing and implementing innovative products, processes and technology for generating clean drinking water.
The United Nations has identified water as number 6 on its list of 17 sustainable development goals with an emphasis on achieving "universal and equitable access to safe and affordable drinking water for all".
In 2018, Ms. Murray produced and chaired an executive panel of international experts at Harvard University Law School to discuss innovative clean water solutions and educate the community on the same. Shortly thereafter, with the travesty of Flint, Michigan on her mind, Ms. Murray founded The Ara Initiative, a 501(c)(3) declaring it's mission to provide universal access to clean water.
Segueing from entrepreneurship, to philanthropic leadership, it is our promise to supply toxin free water to America's children, with an emphasis on highly populated inner cities and solutions for public facilities including, but not limited to, schools and hospitals.
